This interactive documentary recreates a time an place that only exists in the memories of Iranian Kurds who are forced to live in diaspora around the world. Many people died during the events recounted here, as well as in the years that followed.
As recently as 2018, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard launched a missile attack aimed at a meeting of KDP-I officials in Koya, Iraq. The attack killed at least 17 people, most of them former ‘big villagers’. This webdocumentary was made in their loving memory.
