IRGC kill, wound 25 Afghan asylum seekers

At least 25 Afghan asylum seekers were shot dead and wounded on Wednesday by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran’s South-Eastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan.

The Iranian state media announced that 14 Afghans are dead by a car accident, but local sources revealed to Avatoday that the IRGC targeted the vehicle of Afghan Asylum seekers and dozens were killed and wounded.

Thousands of Afghans asylum seekers enter Iran every now and then through its eastern border.

IRGC formed Afghan Shiite militia group, Fatemiyon Brigade in 2014 and recruited thousands in Syria to back Bashar al-Asaad regime.
