Two Kurdish prisoners contracted the coronavirus at Sanandaj Central Prison

KDP-Pres: Two Kurdish prisoners, “Yousef Zamani” and “Sina Mardani”, contracted the coronavirus at Sanandaj Central Prison.

According to an informed source from Sanandaj prison, both of them are in the ward of Quran 2 for youths. The source added: “The coronavirus has been released in Sanandaj prison, but prison officials have not taken any steps to prevent the virus from spreading.

” So far, medical equipment such as masks and gloves have not been provided to prisoners to prevent coronavirus,” the source added. Sanandaj prison has more than 10 wards.

Female prisoners in Sanandaj are often held in correctional facilities, and the Judicial Prisoners’ Organization is the centre of custody.
